Quote JINJER="JINJER"I'd have him in a shot, but he's been released and that's not our game plan this year,if you sign released players then you've to pay full wages, I'd assume we'll look to bring in loan players so their parent club will pay most of their wages.'"
I doubt any released player would merit a substantial salary compared if true to the current contracts we have been paying. The problem with a player on loan his their commitment to the cause because they can be recalled at any time and so disrupts the team and of course if we are relegated what's it to them. I know some will have pride in their performances but you would have to be very careful in who you select.
The loan market may work but for a maximum of 2 or 3 players, I don't remember any of the so called championship feeder clubs benefitting greatly from dual registration. We have to acquire our own players whose futures are tied to the club however, time is fast running out and I notice little movement on this side of the transfer spectrum.
I fear we appear to be fast running out of ideas other than to sell when wages are due. I get no sense that we know what to do unless of course they are hiding the strategy in order to make a big impact later.
