| I know Goulden got us a bonus point, but you have to ask yourself was it a controlled grounding of the ball.
Its a slippery slope these freeze frame decisions by video refs. What next ? a player just has to look like having the action of grounding without touching ball.
Also how crazy was Madens yellow card - pettiness beyond belief from linesman/ref.

To the letter of the law the right decision, look forward to games becoming 9v9

| The lines man was extremely petty but the ref should not have given a penalty so he is just as pathetic in fact they are both bum holes

What did he actually do against the law? He dropped the ball backwards - what should he have done? placed it in a Fev players hands, sprint to the spot and tapped it for 'em. If we are talking "to the letter of the law" then a flat pass is illegal. Our officials are more concerned with trivial elements of our game instead of brushing up with offsides at the play the ball and other important rules.
That decision was the pettiest thing I have ever witnessed in 40+ years of watching RL.

| What Maden did happens at least once a game at scrums, drop outs etc... It was a petty and poor decision and for once i think we can defend Maden in terms of his discipline. Leay was poor for both sides but we suffered a massive game changing call when at 24-16 we should have had a penalty on their line for not being square and they went down the other end and made it 28-16. Now I know these decisions even themselves up but it does change the momentum of a match. Also i will add that this doesn't excuse some shoddy defence either, i'm just saying that it doesn't help.
Also, in the second half they were given a drop out when the Fev player clearly got a hand to the ball when Maden was passing it. Why didn't Leahy go to the video ref a it was in the in goal?
By the way i thought Goulden had grounded the ball, he did have some sort of pressure on it.

I was fuming at that miss by the ref. The Fev player was crouched down in front of the line and just dove on it behind our player. How much are these officials paid and do they ever get a bullocking for these glaring errors - I don't know of any other job where you would constantly get away with mistakes.

| Although it was a daft yellow card in the refs defence he had just warned us that the soft penalties were mounting up and it didn't much for him to loose it. Didn't think the ref had a bad game last night.

| The Watcher is of the opinion that we must cut out the daft mistakes & silly penalties, how many times did we give a penalty away on the 5th tackle, a stupid off load, a head tackle or a knock on early in the count. Come on Leigh start playing with your heads a little bit.
