Just got back from watching a very good team and 1 destined for relegation, fax were fantastic at times today some brilliant rugby and superb tries, leigh were well leigh flat passes not running onto the ball ,basic rugby league seems to be beyond our reach absolutely awful, Rowley cannot get us out of this mess he hasnt got the experiance or man management skills to get the best out of the players.

Talking of the players 2 tries were down to the useless prop with the big mouth, 1 high shot , 1 penalty and 3 tackles later try time,then we are attacking the fax line in there 20 metres and he opens his big gob and hey presto we are defending in our 30 metres and inevitably 12 - 0 down, take a bow mister hobson, next anthony stewart I could give him 10 metres start and beat him over 100 metres, these 2 players are a complete joke.



Now the for the players that deserve our support:

Jamie Durbin apart from 1 daft pass excellent tried all night very lively, well done Jamie

Jimmy Taylor defence absolutley outstanding possibly my MOM

Hemmingway could be useful and did move the ball about

Watson good defence and as usual never gave up

Ian Mort this lad will become 1 of our better players

Mick nanyn took the ball in well ,will be an asset for us.

Chris Hill give him a new contract

Morrisson never took a backward step

Smith this lad is very underrated





So there you have it those players will give us an outside chance of staying up but we need to change the other players and soon even if it means putting the kids in from the reserves

completely agree and as for hobson rowley definately cant manage him he shouldnt be anywhere near the first team....complete liability!!!!!

Hobson....have to agree - waste of time and a liability.

Durbin.....new contract deserved IMO.

Hill and Taylor.... great.

A.Smith.... new contract deserved.

Stewart......Waste of money.



Jamie Smith..................... why is this lad not playing in the 1st team every week......even the Fax fans I was talking to were giving him a big pat on the back and saying how good he was (MOM for me).



I thought that we should have started with Durbin at 6 and Hemmingway at 9........ thought that this would have worked better for us IMO.

I agree leytherjay about young Jamie smith but he really needs to work on his defence missed 3 tackles on the bounce 1st half dont know how he did 2nd half as i couldnt see that far lol

Would go along with that. Think Durbin is better when he's going at the line as a half-back, while I'm not convinced about the speed of his distribution from dummy half.



Thought Jamie Smith was excellent last night though and Nanyn didn't have a bad game. The lack of a gameplan is frightening though.

Can anyone tell me why stewart keeps getting selected?

Contracted to Leigh until 2050, so might as well get our moneysworth!

i think that he may benefit from a long spell in the A team

Jamie Smith started well in the pre-season games and was scoring for fun (also playing well in the reserves).......... not being selected for the 1st team has not helped his game to advance as it has done with Mort and Meekin.



Simple - play him in the 1st team from now on and we will have a great player for the future.

They're doing fine without him!
