Why he is a back up player and only playing due to injury king is our left centre and since Gleeson went Bridge is the right centre Both Clarke and Monnas are able to play the full 80 mins rotating whilst Higham is out so Grix imo won't be missed ,just our options will be limited getting Higham back asap would be a priority at the moment imo !

Some of the players just cannot win with fans like you on here. One week they are fantastic and another week they are crap. I'm sure it all depends on what side of the bed some posters on here get out off in a morning.

I'll stand by my comment from the pre-season. On top form Simon Grix is in the top 2-3 players we have.

Get him into his natural position of loose and I think he will be a revelation.

Or even as a free roaming 6, I think.

Don't think he has the explosive pace for that.

Can't quite understand the criticism of Grix, solid defender, strong runner, versatile, tracks back and give his all for the team, he's had some bad luck with injuries but I'd much rather have him in my 17 than not at all.

I can't understand why Grix doesn't receive the plaudits he deserves. If it hadn't been for his injuries he probably would have made the GB squad. Strong runner with good hands and a great rugby brain imho. I would be more confident about this Saturday if he was playing that's for sure!
