| Hock is going to be unstoppable playing @ 13, I know Swinton aren't the best but he looked on a totally different planet today.
Locke looked like he had an age every time he had the ball in hand, again it might just be the opposition but he looked in slow motion where those around him were in over drive trying to defend against him.
Ford is huge, by no means the finished article but looks like he wouldn't be out of place as the under study for the back line.
Chase has a bag of tricks that would put most magicians to shame, some of the dummies he threw today were bewildering.
Read on a different thread on here the other week that our pack might still be our weak link, but that's rubbish, genuine size and undoubted power right from the starting 6 through to the lads on the bench.
Very excited by what this season promises rather than just the usual blind optimism.

| Like you say, we were excellent today. After today I'm certain that we'll no doubt win the league by 10 points and stroll a win in the Grand Final by beating Wigan with a 40 point margin. And as for the Challenge Cup, Im very confident we can play our under-19s and still win the trophy no problem. We were excellent today against a world-class Swinton team who, on there day, are capable of beating South Sydney with relative ease. Last weeks poor result against Dewsbury and the fact we had this very same optimistic expectation at the start of last season means nothing, obviously.

| Oh and I forgot, there's an interloper trying to ride on the coat tails of my universal popularity by wearing a Michigan Wolverines hat.

When you say 'We' you mean someone else than Salford right?
What's wrong with a little positivity? If we'd have won by twenty points you'd be whining that we didn't put sixty on them.
You are everything that is wrong with certain RL fans.

I agree to the above, with the exception about Jon Ford, he just does not look Super League to me, I hope to be proved wrong, but;

| It was hard to gauge just how good we were yesterday, but the first half hour looked very impressive, it did get scrappy with the constant substitutions. I thought everyone performed well, as far as Jon ford is concerned I think he's a good player. Although probably hasn't done enough to stop the next group of youngsters taking his place. Handy to have in the squad this year but the likes of England, McGrath and Bibby will probably take his place in the squad next year. Not forgetting Patterson and gee can both play centre, so doesn't look good this year either.

| Chase was awsome yesterday.How many did he score? Locke seems to have lost a lot of weight and was good on the ball again. Josh Griffin was strong going forward. I dunno if the ref was bad but we seem to give a lot of penalty's away especially in the second half so that could be a worrying thing. Hock again was brilliant. Happy with everything yesterday. Bring on the 7th Feb

| Its hard to gauge how well we played against a poor Swinton team, but the likes of Hock, Hansen, Locke and Chase all looked great. Lets hope they can produce when it matters.

I agree the real measurement of progress will be the performances against Warrington and Saints, two teams that comprehensively blew us away last year.
