| I really don't think I have seen this guy play better than he has this season .... It shows even more now to saints when he is injured, how much of an asset he is to the team, in my opinion I think he would make a great full back but used a a third utility like Webb. Apologies for any spelling mistakes I'm doin this from the phone!!!!

| Useful in the squad because he can cover a number of positions, but not the future for England.

I'm not sure he's even the best player for Saints when he's interested

| I think it's the responsibility of the manager to ensure he gets the best out of the players and S Mc should know something about what motivates Leon.
If he can find a way to get the best out of him then Pryce has to be at 6 for England. When at his best he is almost unplayable for the opposition and we aren't blessed with too many that have that quality.
Obviously he has his downside and the risk is that he plays and just goes through the motions, however its worth remembering that the last time he played 6 against Australia we won and he played very well.
S Tomkins offers us something from fullback that we havnt had for two generations so we can actually offer a threat from there.
It's also worth remembering that we don't have to find an Inglis and a Slater, what we need is to be significantly better than we've been in the threequarters. With Atkins showing up well and Shenton developing we should be more competitive and with our pack we should at least go close.

| I'd have him on the bench for England. That covers all of our backs and we can have 3 forwards on the bench then.

| Best player in Super League by an enormous distance.
But he's injured, so this thread is a bit of a write off.

| I'd take him as an option in the squad as a creative 6 and cover throughout the back-line over the support runner who is Danny McGuire. How someone flaws as a stand-off can be covered up by a good support game is beyond me. Pryce is a good back-up and might test the Aussies even if they are on top. McGuire is only useful against top teams when Leeds are on top, and how often are England on top against the Australians.
It may be a personality thing because Pryce has been in decent form over the last few years and has got a guernsey in the international side.

This insight that Steve McNamara has into Leon Pryce led him to leave him out of his recent 37 man squad. Speaks for itself

| Both Pryce and McGuire are good against the lesser SL teams where there is space and time and tend to go missing in big games
