| Firstly the distance it's like wire relocating to Gloucester would you wire fans make that trip evey other week? I made the 163mile each way to bf 6 times this year it nearly killed my bank account. To expect the current fans to travel to north Wales is out of the question to bf is easy m4 to Bridgend simples. South Wales to north Wales? Not exactly easy drive.
2 business sense. This moss guy has money he isn't going to pi$$ it up the wall.SL places are up for renewal soon if cru move this SL place looks very shakey, is this guy honestly going to buy a club AND the debts, with it in the back of his mind that they will probably lose the SL place if they relocate? He'd never get the business to pay off the debts he would have to front up the cash not going to happen is it.
3 relocation and the loss of sl place. Yes I've said it if we move north sl place is gone. Will there be enough fans to sustain this sl place? Probably not and with widnes up the road who are working hard and putting things in place fir a bid is there much chance? You can't run a team on away support only imagine the catalans home game?
With the proposed nl team in SW all I can see is two nl clubs at either ends of the country

So am I the only one who sees that a move up north can be a positive move?
North Wales is an untapped area in terms of full-time professional sports teams. Wrexham FC average 3,500 (2008-9) in the Blue Square Prem while Colwyn Bay don't get many supporters in the Unibond League.
In terms of RU, the Scarlets have played matches at the Racecourse Ground but not on a regualr basis. WRU have cited the area as a 'development region' but as of yet nothing I'm aware of has come about it. Its a perfect opportunity for RL to get it's foot in the door as early as possible.

| To move rl into the area is a good idea in theory yes. However who would fund this the point I was trying to make is this moss bloke surely isn't likely to purchase a club at sl price if it likely that moving it will cost it's sl place and massively devalue almost over night.
He could however buy in and keep cru in south Wales after all just because he is in Wrexham doesn't mean cru have to be.
In nit flat cap I'm more baseball cap init

| Quote Starbug="Starbug"Flatcapper'" Starbug, a lot of your posts even in jest don't make any sense at all. How could someone (incorrectly) suggesting that Crusaders may not move to Wrexham ever be a flat capper? The Wrexham move is a negative in terms of expansion of the game, so suggesting that it wouldn't work in no way makes anyone a flat capper. Do you think that expansionists just agree with everything that happens, and that anyone who does differently is labelled a flat capper? Because if you think that is the case, then you really are utterly clueless. This would also explain your bizarre and contradictory views on many subjects.

I've heard that from two different well placed sources today too.

Yep, now you're getting it!
That's how annoying and silly the term is.

| It wont work for the simple fact that they wont have a fan base in Wrexham for a good while yet. Surely it would be more beneficial for them to keep their base in south wales and build on what they have achieved so far in Bridgend.

It might not work, in reality it probably won't, but that is what is going to happen.

I don't really see any alternative.....there will [ireally[/i be only some Leeds fans there. Where are the Wrexham RL fans going to appear from?
Sure, there might be a few curious locals on freebies but beyond that? Only bright spot in this is the supposed appearance of a South Wales RL team. They can then follow the South Wales team from 1996 into oblivion. After that we can stop pretending about everything.
