| Quote Hedgehog King="Hedgehog King"That certainly isn't very many out of over 10,000.
Naturally club sponsors get free tickets and players get a few to give to their relatives etc etc
But that's not really what people generally mean by giving out freebies because all clubs do this.'"
Those are just the ones we know about Hedgehog.
My question is how many other freebies were given out?
I suggest there were probably quite a few.
It's not a real criticism of the club...they have to try and drum up interest in the sport in North Wales.
But at least be honest about the amount of folks who actually paid full price and went along

| Quote Pete_Zatoppin="Pete_Zatoppin"You are probably not aware but Wrexham RFC are a 'feeder' club for the Scarlets. In case you are as stupid in real life as you seem to be on this board, the Scarlets (formerly known as Llanelli Scarlets) are a Rugby Union side....from Llanelli ...in South Wales.
Wrexham RFC were invited along to last nights game as guests of the crusaders. Many of these complimentary tickets (Thats 'freebies' to you) were also offered to players and staff of the Scarlets.
I guess you will just have to trust me on this one.
But I'm sure you won't
'"
er Scarlet have fook all to do with North Wales rugby union now, they denounced that a long time ago.

| Onto freebies. Very few of those tickets we're freebies. All tickets would have been discounted in some way, wheather is was early bird, block booking, or the Schools discount vouchers (£8 adult £4 kids), I'd imagine freebies were only in the hundreds rather than thousands.

| Can`t see what the issue is about discounted tickets - Both Warrington and Wigan do it for several matches - Wigan even tried it for their home game against the Rhinos last season - it`s known a s business doing promotions -even Tescos and Asda try it !

| Who cares if they gave out some free tickets or reduced price tickets. The fact is they sold out the ground which is fantastic, and is a far better attendance than a few superleague teams will get this season.
It doesnt matter how they got them in, just well done on doing so. I just hope many of them return this season. Even Premier league teams give out free tickets and reduced child prices.

Well if a lot of the tickets were given away FREE then the ground hardly SOLD OUT did it?
I don't blame the club though, its important to try and get a good crowd in for the first game and hopefully get them back again

| Quote Pete_Zatoppin="Pete_Zatoppin"Sorry.
'Well done Crusaders in getting a full house for their first game'
I just wonder what the crowd would have been like with out all the freebies/two for one/ kids half price/ buy one get one free/ etc etc
The result was pretty much how everyone thought it would go though wasn't it. Leeds won, Crusaders lost. Heavily.
Cant wait to see how many FC put past the crusaders when we come to town.'"
Please take old faithful off your sig, you are giving us true FC supporters a bad name.
well done crusaders, who gives a toss that you had to give free tickets away, FC did it last year so he has no room to talk. You have to attract supporters and then keep them.
Only a complete retard would have expected 10000 new to the game supporters to pay full price immediately.

WHO CARES???? On that basis no game ever sells out because most clubs in many sports hand out free tickets, ive had quite a few this season for Wigan Athletic...
They filled their ground, well done to them and i hope they can build on that.

| Quote Pete_Zatoppin="Pete_Zatoppin"10,500 or whatever the official attendance was supposed to be.
Brian Noble said “There were 10,500 people and probably 9,500 of those are new fans to the game.”
According to other forums Leeds supporters numbered only between 700-1000 of those 10,500 so I guess they were the 'old' fans he refers to.
Not that likely many old Celtic Crusaders supporters went up to Wrexham after the way they have been messed about.
So it seems there must have been many many thousands of 'new' people there on freebie tickets? I do know Wrexham FC season ticket holders were given some but surely not that many? Who was getting all the others?
Celtic Crusaders also tried this 'freebie ticket' idea for the last fixture against Leeds in Newport if comments on this board in the past are to be believed.'"
OMG give us a break we had
a full house at our new home and now we are giving thousands of free tickets away. You need to get a life
