to me i think every player that serves 10 years at a club half of there salary shoudnt count on the cap no matter how many that is. id sign fitzgibbon for 1 more year quality player that gives this club so much experince and professionalism and the guy is such a workaholic and a presence on and of the field. as for long hes still a very good player on the field see rovers game but the obvious one is to many injuries and id hope the club are looking at bringing in a yonger 7. id keep horne but his salary would have to come down and with turner,obst,nicklas and williams we will have plenty of depth in that department.

Fitz is more than capeable of another year, one of the fittest men i have ever seen

but at his age you have to take it 1 year at a time and 1 year deals suit everyone involved but no doubting his ability to play for another 1,2 or 3 years

I would give Fitz a new one year deal without any hesitation. Despite him not being a ball playing 13 he still brings so much to the overall team performance. He is a winner,natural leader and sets a great example of how to behave as a professional rugby player.



I do like Long, but he just doesn't play enough games for me. I think he does the business when he is on the pitch, but I think we need to try and find a young ish 7 with their best years in front of them. The problem with signing older marquee players is that the club constantly need to replace them.



I would offer Horne a new one year deal but on reduced terms and on that the basis that he is now viewed as more of a utility player now. Imo we need a new 6 and 7 if we are to really challenge again. The biggest problem the club face is finding these players.
