Abbo will play there EVENTUALLY. I wouldn't have an issue if Westerman was injured and Abdull stepped in. He'd be an able 13.



Westermans annoying habit of jumping out to make a big hit and missing is getting ridiculous now.

Another Westy myth! Can you even jump out of the line in the middle? I reckon 90%+ of his tackles are on forwards, maybe his line speed should be replicated by those around him in that case?

Westerman for me has NOT lived up to the hype. Remember we paid a hell of a wedge to get him (More than Sneyd). I know which has given better VFM.

He was player of the year and represented England last year! He's been fantastic for over 2 years now. People just don't like him, that's fair enough, but there's absolutely no stats to back up this idea he's not been anything else but very good.

Absolute nonsense. I really like the guy but think he's overrated as a rugby player. And to say he's been "fantastic" for two years is an exaggeration of gargantuan proportions.

Best look out Yeamo. It appears that some people are putting another name forward as scapegoat.

Can you explain just how he's overrated? Because winning player of the year and getting international recognition don't point to someone being overrated. He's not been as good in attack as he was last year, but he's still been fantastic in defence.



You've only got to ask the players he plays with every week how good he is.

He's missed 37 tackles all season. For reference, Minichello has missed 72 and Houghton 54.



So, yes - it is a myth. I guess some people just see what they want to see.



Oh - and it's not his responsibility to live up to the 'hype' or justify his transfer fee. Neither are under his control.

Westy was more effective last season in attack,

as he knew his role , as he was the main central pivot.



This year with Sneyd, assuming that role, both Westy & Sneyd for mine both appear to be confused, who is the central pivot.....



Defensively Westerman is superb. -IMO

For mine IF Westerman went to Wigan, he would fit into their style easily, he is a similar style of player to O'Loughlin..

The tackle stat is a joke, do you even know how its calculated? (although houghtons tackle count is impressive as hes often first man in the tackle) Its got nothing to do with people not liking westerman or the transfer fee etc, people form an opinion by watching him week in week out for the last few years. Just because you and 1865 put yourselves on a pedestal when it comes to deciding who is a good player, which players have potential etc etc. Doesn't mean the rest of us cant have an opinion
