Thorman is clearly a joke at SH but to blame him for all of our inadequacies is a little optimistic. There are many things clearly very wrong with our squad and coaching set-up and Thorman just happens to be the biggest example.

The fact that 11 are unavailable, including 4 of our first choice back 5, being one of them.

Let's all blame the injuries again !!!!!



Everything will be great when we can choose from our full squad which is brimming with outstanding quality from 1 to 25 !!!!



There really is no wonder that some other fans take the pi$$ on here when they see people like you bleating on about injuries season after season. Even with a fully fit squad, we have a group of players that are lacking in so many areas that it just isn't funny. We will finish in the bottom half of the table and that is exactly where we deserve to be !!

If you look back at my posts, I said Thorman was "beyond awful" when we were linked with him and that the decision to go into a season without a first choice right centre was "lunacy". However, we had strength in depth at hooker (where our best player has been hampered with injury or absent this season), second row (where Crocker is world class and won't now be coming and Manu is also injured long term), and improved at prop where would be strengthened by Lauaki (who has yet to arrive). I also think that Raynor has been one of the top 5 wingers in the competition over the past 5 years, and he has yet to take the field.



If we'd won yesterday we'd be fifth, not too shabby for a team with 11 players now unavailable. Face facts, the salary cap now means a lot of average players circulating round clubs. The ability to coach the best out of them is clearly the main differentiator now and one where we fall short, but you are deluded if you think the amount of quality we have on the sidelines has had no impact whatsoever.

Ofcourse it has an impact !! As it did last season but to keep blaming injuries is actually where the delusion comes in. We started the season with a squad capable of a mid-table finish and that's what we'll get (at best). Everyone has injuries and ours are a little worse than average but we have a coach that is out of his depth and a squad that is becoming poorer and poorer with every pre-season recruitment campaign.



If Agar cannot see that we lack size in the front row, we have no scrum half and no right centre, then he really is a clown.
