Not helped by Whiting and others inside him who often leave him stranded. He does need to improve but on the whole has done well so far.

Hall was a tbf and although we get still get caught out wide at least Sharpe can tackle when he is 1 on 1 something Hall could not do.

To be fair to Sharp , Long and tickle both came out of the line to no effect far too often and Rich Whiting looked as lost as Sharp. Sharp stood out because he was running between the three players he ended up marking. Lets face it we , still , need a scrum half , an off half , a centre , a winger and a full back.

This is another example of out poor defensive pattern isolating our wingers and making them look poor. Tom Briscoe has taken flack over this in the last year or so as well as Calderwood and Lyne. (not to mention the likes of Blacklock before them)



A winger doesn't just choose to randomly leave themselves marking 3 men. They need to rely on the inside defenders numbering up properly and sliding. (where we have seemed lazy for a couple of seasons now)
