It could work, you play each side in your 'league' home and away and play the side in the other league once.



We haven't got the players for it though.

How about have a 12 team league and then bring back another knockout cup comp, like the yorkshire, Lancashire cups or a Regal trophy type comp?. Personally i would love to see the floodlit trophy back.

Or maybe the Stobart trophy were the winners don,t get anything

I too would like to see a second cup comp....maybe a regional one (if this is possible with Cats and London?!), just couldn't see it happening though - ook at the demise of the league cup in football as an example in comparison to the 'main comps' - it would need a major sponsor and enough interest to get it off the ground.



With two cup comps and a 12 team SL we could also reduce the play-offs to top 5?

I know a smaller league would give clubs more money if Sky kept to the same agreement, but it would be a opportunity for clubs to make more revenue having a extra cup comp with clubs sharing the gate receipts.

Pretty much agree with that.

Two problems:



1. Why would Sky want to pay the same for a smaller league with fewer games?

2. We struggle for crowds in the one cup competition we have already. Can't see us getting anything other than even poorer gates for a new one.

I did think about that and i agree it would have to be viable. I am old school and just love the old knockout comps and would love one of them back if possible. As for the sky money just because it is a smaller league does not mean that Sky cannot show the amount of games they already do now. I would say that we would be on more times than we are now.
