I think that to be successful you would have to prove that the club [iknew[/i that Agar would be sacked before next season and deliberately misled the player(s) regarding his tenure at the time of signing. |

No, it would go into the pockets of whoever lent us the money. Debt is a balance sheet item and doesn't relate to the P&L |

No, as Jake's post says, debt is a balance sheet item. Repayment of it therefore has no impact whatsoever on profit. The club could make losses and still pay off some of the debt if cashflow was strong enough and they so wished/had to. Likewise there are plenty of highly profitable companies who still go to the wall over high debts. |

I hope they choose wisely though, remember that clubs have to start showing some 'home grown' players increasing yearly. FC have already gifted the Robins some of their best players (Shaun Briscoe for one). I do not want to keep Huggie poaching some more to boost his morale, although maybe Judas taught him that it doesn't always pay off.

Some of our best players? Since they have been promoted they have signed an injury prone second rower from us, our second choice fullback (still overrated imo, Lee Smith showed how much better a fullback he is in the first half against us last week, Briscoe is Mr Average), and a young prop who was going very much backwards. Paul Cooke is the only player to have left who was a big loss to us, and he has hardly set the world alight in a Rovers shirt |

Think we are one of the best in S/L for doing that...Burnett has burst through this season and Hodgson is looking good.....our back line could be all British next season

They're last year's accounts. I don't reckon we'd have been too far off then. This year it's pretty much common knowledge we have a fair chunk spare because of Crocker. Should post another profit next year then as well. |
