I'd assume the players are happy to be told they're fantastic after a good performance so they should be able to take a bit of criticism at times.
I personally wouldn't boo mainly because it seems a bit of a silly thing to do, stood there making an odd sound.
It only becomes an issue when the scapegoats get picked on and yet other 'popular' players seem to get away with murder.

booing takes up far too much effort and the team haven't justified putting any effort in to supporting them this season

I don't boo the team although I understand why some fans do so after a particularly bad performance.
What I have a problem with is people singling individual players out - especially when the teams are being read out before a game.

From what i saw on tv Myhill had a great game so he would come out and say booing is ok coz it wasnt aimed ay him !!!!!!!!!
