The two boards were been daggers drawn all through the 70's and 80's just that lately it has got pretty petty.

i have nothing against any good natured banter, some rovers fans even appear quite normal. I am not so keen on the fans/directors with a chip on their shoulder

I have married into a family of dobbins(my grandad won't speak to me) i also live in the middle of dobbin territory and i have to say that i haven't known it to be anything but jovial, it's actually quite fun for me and the neighbour sticking it to em this season but for 80 mins twice a year i hate them with a passion. Other than that i couldn't give a $h!t about them.

Love the banter and have some good mates who are Rovers fans. My sister is even in a mixed marriage (it will never last). However come match day they are the enemy until the final whistle. On the day of the match, before kick off and during the game even my mates who are red know that that I am totally irrational and not to cross me. After the game however I'll drink with them, as long as they are paying.

Hate is a very strong word but immediately before and during the game it's how I feel and react.

Ever since I went to watch rovers v widnes in the 1981 c.cup final and a hkr fan said to me in the coach park after they had just LOST 18-9 " what you wearing your black and white shirt for you f**k8r I bet you support widnes !" and then punched me in the face , I have had a complete hatred for all hkr fans !
