Very disappointing. Would rather we invest in an English half back than an Ozzy who has been deemed not good enough for the NRL.

couldn`t agree more Wilf, its ok having principles but unless every club has the same it will never work, once one club starts using loopholes eventually all the other clubs will follow, i just hope we utilise the spare quota spot wisely, if it isn`t a top quality player then we need to sign someone on a 12 month contract with the hope that more quality is available for 2012. |

What do people reckon to Tansey and Houghton spelling at hooker, Horne at FB long and a new SO? Would work if we couldnt get another 7 but there is a decent SO available?

I agree in principle that there are too many non-British players in SL but if we are able to use the rules as they stand to improve our squad then so be it. Why should we penalise ourselves compared to other clubs?
We have been guilty in the past of bringing in overseas players who were no better then we already had but you cannot say that about our current imports. |

Sadly the clubs wont decide on mass to move away from this. The RFL need to make changes to stop people been classed as British when they haven't been born here. (if they are even permitted to under EU law)

I almost agree, but since France are in the same comp, I would say any player from GB or France are classed as Fed trained. |

This would be perfect, but it makes far too much sense for the RFL to even consider. I wouldn't even mind extending it to Europe to promote expansion, but it would no doubt lead to too many attempts to find loopholes to abuse so it's best to keep it as simple as possible. |

No i was there but he wasn't prepared for that and he has played there and played well there before. It must have been hard having to play at FB from having his full week revolving around playing at SO and the options with Long to catching bombs and running them back. I can't really remember if he was awful was he? Obviously I haven't watched it back to check!
