As much as I like Calderwood as a player I think he is picking up too many leg muscle injuries and it will continue to happen for the rest of his career (see Michael Owen for more details). The fact we only have a finite amount of money we can spend on players means we simply cant afford to have them sat in the stands for extended periods. We need to recruit in the backs for next season anyway and I would be looking to replace him if possible.

Dont faff about bringing a untried player in....that worked well last time we played Salford didnt it....Hall to come in on the wing...simple really.

True. Which kind of makes a mockery of the opinion that one bad performance away at Salford somehow proved Reece wasn't ready for SL. If he was fit I would have him back in the team again without any worries.

Was having the conversation the other day about Tuffour. Think he's about 22 now and we were saying that at the minute he's behind Hall and Lyne for a wing spot. It may be Tuffours last year at FC if he doesnt break through.

I said the same when Reece was brought in for the Salford game ahead of Tuffour. Just why is he even at the club if he is that far down the pecking order? It's not like he is a young kid with loads of improvement in him so is he ever going to get a chance to play? So far we have used Whiting, Hall and Reece ahead of him so its seems unlikely he will ever play for the first team.
