Am I mising something on here.Why do people still have Whiting down as a winger/centre.As much as I like the bloke go back to the semi final in 2005.He made a break then and was to slow to score so he gave a silly pass out which fortunatley for us came off.If he was not fast enough in 2005 why do people think he is fast enough now.Let's play wingers on the wing and centre's in the centre.As for rich IMO standin 6 or 13.

Calderwood has been offered a one year deal from the club, offered to him about a month ago.



The deal is on a reduced 'base' salary, with a bonus depending on how many game he plays. Should he play all the games, he'll bank a similar amount next year to what he earns now.



I imagine he's weighing up his options, Catalans were the only club to show any interest.

Should Calders recover properly from his injury and remain fit for the season then I see him scoring a bagful of tries next season playing outside of Berro. I predict a Gidley and Gardner type relationship.

I agree, but for his own development he'll need some game time next year. So I think he should be our "3rd winger" behind Sharp and Briscoe.

Just like we have for the last few years. Yet people still keep saying that centre/winger/fb are more important and i just cannot see it. We have 3 players who can play at full back to varying degrees of ability (Horne/Tansey/Whiting) We also have a myriad of players who can play centre, on the Wing yes we need someone but it is pointless having a winger who can score tries if we have nobody in the middle who can engineer it.

We don't need a centre as we have 4, Berro, Whiting, Yeaman, Turner. We also have three wingers Briscoe, Sharp and Lyne.



The deal for Calderwood I don't know, it would have top be cheap but halfback is the priority then prop and I would also like a young hooker.

I'd have absolutely no problems with that whatsoever provided the money spent doesn't restrict our search for a halfback.

The worrying thing from Calderwoods point of view is, what if we have needed to bring loanee players in again at some stage during the season, it may get to the stage where we can't afford to play him due to cap restraints.

If Berro is staying as some have said we need another Hooker then as Houghton cant play 80 every week it will kill the poor lad.
