And lost most games by only a score or two, not 20 and 30 like now!!
He was not the greatest coach and had faults but he got much more out of his team than others have!! |

exactly, he is well respected in the game, and there was relatively few rumours of player unrest/misbehavior whilst he was here, he seemed very much in control
it was just the tactics, recruitment and the dislike of talking to the media that let him down. |

His tactics were far better than Agar's - particularly when we actually had any halfbacks on the pitch. His main fault was an over-emphasis on defence and safety which was more like the way they used to play in the NRL than today's SL. |
