Thing is a lot of people were asking for a kicker to be brought in pronto, now one supposedly has a lot of folks won't like it simply because John's had a good couple of games with the boot. Like I said before we need backup for John for not only if he gets injured but also if he loses this new found form of his, which could happen because he's still fairly new to it.

Squad looking ok, considering Motu Tony and Ellis have not featured yet. Sykes and a forward and we start looking like having adequate cover for a couple of injuries

Not saying Sykes is a world beater far from it but hes decent backup at centre or fullback and he is a good goal kicker hope he brings Burgess with him

Yes it does, like you said on another thread Mason would round things off nicely if he did turn out to be available.

Got to say i'm pleased with sykes



He's English, can kick and offers cover in a fair few positions, great editon to the squad



He's not had the best time at Bradford, though this seems very much due to being played out of position



A move to a new club is exactly what he needs

They haven't yet committed to being able to pay any of their staffs wage this month, let alone a player sent out on loan!!

There is talk of it being a similar deal to the Mathers one with a percentage still being payed by Bradford. Whether that is correct I don't know.
