| churwell played birstall under 11's last night and beat them 18-12. last game got a bit heated when their coach told the ref that he had agreed with us that we would play full super league rules but failed to tell us!! last night he wanted to play under 11's rules..adamant in fact! my little un playing hooker made 40 tackles last night and was absolutely knackered..he missed 1 tackle though which he was reminded about..

| cas panthers u10s went down 22-12 at stanningley despite leading late in the game,a very good show from both sides again but the leeds side just seem to be mentally tougher than us at the minute and no how to tough it out.
still a fantastic season for us and one which we can be proud of.

Crigg -48
good win today - a good display all round , but credit to the defence . They've got some big lads at Garforth but after being knocked backwards a few times in the first half their desire to run forward went away in the second .
I would think that we've shown that these lads are good enough to stay up next year, but god knows what will happen !
Best wishes to all over the summer , you all deserve a rest . Got to say that mr.&mrs. Spongebob's morale is quite low at the minute .

| Stanley under 11's went down to Oulton Invaders 16 to 14 in the last game of the season in the top division. My lad scored his 50th try this season, so for him it ended on a bright note

| just recovered from this weekends rugby.
cas panthers u10s festival finished with an absolute classic between cas panthers and lock lane, the two sides were locked at the end of full time 4-4 and then went into extra time, lane scored to go 4-8 in front with less than a minute to play but the panthers drove up field and then moved the ball from left to right on the last tackle to squeeze into the corner to take the game to golden point.after a tense 5 minutes it was lock lane that cracked first dropping the ball giving the panthers the chance to win the competion and they scored on the 2nd tackle of the next set.
a fantastic game spoilt by a few parents at the end who cant take their ale and they should no better unfortunatley.

| Saw the second half of the U10s tournament and there was some good stuff played.
The tension that boiled over at the end had been simmering for a while as other teams were adamant that Panthers were switching players between their A & B sides throughout, to the point of naming names.
The final was a great game, but was somewhat spoiled by a refereeing display I shall kindly call 'inconsistent'.
As a neutral it all took the edge off I'm afraid and lessons need to be learned.

with out being a kill joy, if they thought that players was being switch from one team to the other couldn't their coach have got the refs attention and mentioned this
it does get silly when parents let them selves down

no players were swapped and two team sheets with full names and numbers were given, due to the number of panthers players in the two sides "22" some players were in u9s shirts which had duplicat numbers on the same has some kids in u10s shirts, again in hindsight one of the teams should have kept their shirts inside out but hindsight is a wonderful thing you dont expect accusations of cheating at u10s,for the record the only complaint was made by a lock lane players mother and nobody else and the accusation was made that 1 player had played in both sides who just happend to have been an ex lock lane player who left under a cloud.
has for the referee i thought he did well considering the pressure put on him from the crowd and to be confronted by parents is a disgrace and should never happen hopefully the perpatrayers will be named shamed and given club bans.
you are quite right that lessons need to be learned and over the two days 3 out of the 5 age groups that played ended in contreversy all games played between the panthers and lock lane, has somebody who has played for lock lane and coached at the panthers i find it sad that they cannot get through a day without problems and imho the only way to stop it is to keep the two clubs apart, again not one incident was child on child but all from the touchline side.
