You couldn't make it up - and if you only knew the rollocking I had to dish out to get that printed!

Compared to the press release your gave them, they've left a fair whack out.

They claim they didn't get it - but everyone else did.



They then wrote an article based on me ringing them from work yesterday - which didn't make the final cut.



I rang this morning - and ranted somewhat - and that is the result - basically what they were going to print if it had made it.



Not happy!

The WAKEFIELD express is fast becomings joke with lazy journalism he must be a clown who edits it. Get the Evening Post it seems to be more supportive of better sporting facities in Wakefield

I can't seem to find it in the Normanton edition!!!

What I don't get it, bar the people who buy it to see who has died or been up in court, surely news from Belle Vue must be one of the big things which attracts people to buy the rag?



Maybe the club should give more info to other outlets rather than leaving 'exclusives' for the Express. Hit them where it hurts, starve them of the info they crave to sell papers.

WAKEFIELD EXPRESS = WASTE OF INK



The negative sensationalist stories of social decline in every corner of our area may sell papers but i honestly think the Wakefield Express is one of the single biggest factors in the decline of civic pride in the Wakefield area.



It's just a constant "drip-drip" of social fear and paranoia that echos almost of national socialism, if you tell the people to be scared, they'll be scared. Some of the recent headlines illustrate my case perfectly; The so called "sex bands", the skateboarders causing fear to residents, and what is it this week "sex for booze". How can people be proud to be citizens of Wakefield if that's how one of their most trusted papers portrays the city in the light they seem so keen on doing?



As much as i hate Leeds, at least their council inspire a bit of local pride, you cant move in Leeds for the "Leeds, live it, love it" campaign. Despite the demise of LUFC civic pride has never been higher, people are proud of being from Leeds and believe me Leeds has bigger social problems and worse areas by some way.



For the past few months i have thought that an alternative "independent" local paper could make a fortune with how many people are so disgruntled with the Wakefield Express. If you could get the RL fans i think the WE would consider that a dramatic loss.

I think the sports pages generally give pretty decent coverage of Trinity and the sports around Wakefield. However, their lack of interest on the stadium front since they stirred up the ‘Stadium – No Thanks’ article has been very obvious. Can you imagine if the anti-stadium protesters had a petition with several thousands signatures on it supporting them and the coverage they would get. It certainly wouldn’t be a token effort that appears to have been written up in five minutes.

You should send that in to the letters page.
