First of all nobody is denying you an opinion so lets not go down that route shall we, and as for a dick measuring contest as you put it, you are the one who is saying you have supported the club for X no. of years and spent so much

money on the club not me. It does not matter whether you have been watching for 25 miutes or 25 years you still only get one opinion and if you have the right to one then by the same laws I am entitled to one also although mine was more of an observation followed by a question. By your own admission we have had some shocking seasons so I will ask my original question again, what makes this year any worse than we have experienced in your time supporting the club. It seems to me that having experienced a lot of dross over the last 25 years we seem to have become a little too complacant with our expectations from the present setup over the last four seasons hence the massive disapointment this season. So you see pal we are all as fed up as what you are but some of us deal with it in different ways.

1 wanted to go home and sulked

1 wanted more money and wouldn't sign our massive offer



We can make them stay - but we can't make them play (well).



Most seem to quite like Charlie / Rinaldi and young Gledhill and a few seem to be suggesting that even Cooke could be useful. Not sure what else could have been done in the circumstances.

Brough allegedly wanted 100k a season to stop at wakey but the board said NO so he went to Hudds(Trinity making a couple of quid) Then we go and pay 90k (rumoured) a year to a player i wouldnt let clean broughies boots!



As for Shane Tronc?? heard in the pub was let go back to Oz for nothing (Leeds want a transfer fee for Eastwood 100k for remaining time on HIS contract) for not discussing the contractural downfalls on his Trinity contract that he was promised and not his wife being homesick!

If your going to go down this route - at least get some facts right!



Brough was offered in the region of £150k pa - from 2011 on. He preferred cash there and then. If we had kept him he would have walked for nothing - perhaps the club should have done that, but the feeling was that it was a good deal for the club at the time.



Cooke is on no where near £90k - FACT. I've already stated that once.



Tronc was playing like a pussy for the last 6 weeks he was here. I wouldn't have wanted him any longer personally. Eastwood is in another league to Tronc - and there is still no guarantee that Leeds will get anything for him. Tronc and his wife refused to mix with the rest of the players and WAGs - hence them being unsettled.



Come on - old stuff. The club are planning for next year, not this!

its because of this we are in the position we are in! Games are won and lost by quality and class players!! dont think we would have been in top 4 but definately 5th at this point in the season and fans looking forward to the play off games but no we are not. Thats why fans are staying away! Why spend money on a team thats getting wupped every week! Me personally I am sick of watching people from Wakefield going to watch the likes of Leeds because theyve got a bit of success!!! You dont get success by letting your best players go season after season!!!



As for Eastwood being in different class from Tronc I dont think so! First choice Broncos prop at minute and signed new contract me thinks.



we are not planning at all for next season! No new signings on the horizon(would boost season ticket sales if right players come in) and if Cooke gets a new contract that will drive all the nails in Wakeys coffin!!!

fact is tronc's wife never watched him play at belle vue once or any of the away games. does that sound like someone making an effort. he was a pain in the ar.e that spit his dummy out because he couldn't have his own way causing unrest. i agree with you , if i had my way he would have sat on the bench all season. the miserable get. he knew what he was doing when he came . imo he used us as a bargaining counter. newton had a brain explosion. brough just didn't want to be at wakey. thats common knowledge, can't any of you get that through your heads? he got offered every thing he wanted 3 timnes and still went off for some quick cash. stuff him . he isn't winning any popularity contests there either. the players you call bench warmers seem to be the ones that are giving 100% at the moment

Gledhill for some reason Kear hasnt used him as often as some people have liked(Me for one) Got his faves and that aint going to change!



Rinaldi is wakeys yoyo one minute here next minute not has been for a few seasons now! Not a bad player not a good one either!



Charlie however will be a good un. Good preseason and he will do a job for us next season!



We need a scrum half! a good centre! a good prop and a loose forward!

I read the different class bit as meaning that Eastwood exhibits more class as a person, not necessarily as a player. Eastwood may want a return home but he is still willing to put the effort in whilst waiting for his release. Tronc just gave up trying so that we would not try and keep hold of him, or hold out for a fee.



The most disappointing thing for me of this whole sorry season has been that such a good player just sulked and gave up to get his own way. The fact that that player was wearing our number 8 shirt as well p'd me off even more. The big man who would have given anything to wear that shirt must be turning in his grave.

I wonder if that's really what happened, or if there's any truth to the recurring rumour that he wanted out because the club didn't deliver on the promises it had made to him in relation to accomodation, car etc?



I guess we'll never know, unless he decides to write his memoirs one day and tell all on his 3 months at WTW!

On one side we have the 'rumour' that we didn't look after him. On the other side we all SAW how he was playing. So if we add the rumour to the fact we still get a rumour.



Could it just be correct that he and his Mrs just didn't settle - how's that for a rumour!???

Yeah, I too am fed up to the bad teeth of people thinking the club owes them something for nothing and sucking the blood from them.

Frankly I don't care, if it was undelivered promises then perhaps he should have done what any reasonable person would have done and discussed it with the club instead of behaving like a baby.
