It looks to me that he is unhappy at losing a weeks' wage and tbh who wouldnt be, and as a result had a moan to his dad and who in turn is acting as his agent and talking to the press. As snowie says journalists' will say anything but their prayers and has more than likely twisted it to suit. It sells papers' which is what its all about. You have to remember its his dad whats doing the talking not Scully.

I expect higher standards. Not the behaviour of an elite sportsman. I want to know that the players are putting in 100% on the pitch as well as 100% off the pitch. If you dont treat your body well and you dont make the sacrifices then your performance will be effected. I feel a bit ripped off to be honest.

So there should be a complete alcohol/smoking ban then?

Smoking ban - without a doubt.

Alcohol ban - yes - with exceptions at the coaches discretion.

Smoking? I would hope that none of our players smoked. I know Tony Kemp did which was bad enough.



As to alcohol depends on the amount being consumed and when it is being consumed. That said they are doing a well paid and enjoyable job that entails sacrifice so I don't see that they would have many complaints about a ban during the playing season.

You might not want to head to Mex in Wakey city centre on a night out.

Smoking?

All we need is eating 'rich food' and its a hat trick.

Quite a few rugby players smoke, I was quite suprised to find that out. It's up to them though what they do in spare time.

I'd like to think our players didn't smoke like chimneys, but to completely ban smoking for them may be a tad harsh, same goes for drinking.



However theres some players I doubt will stick to the healthy lifestyle, I've seen Wakey players out in leeds with fag in hand.

Its up to the players to keep their body in peak physical condition. Smoking, quite clearly, will hinder that, as would drinking excessively.

It is yeah, aslong as they don't smoke a silly amount each day then i don't mind. But what they do off the pitch has no concern to me as it has nothing to do with anyone

So you don't see a problem with professional sports people smoking? What do you class as a silly amount? Smoking any amount will have a negative effect on someones health and fitness.
