for all sorts of reasons, funding, usage and the board i can only see it being called "The Wakefield Community Trust Stadium" maybe with the owrd District in after wakefield?

I would imagine groundshare would increase revenue streams, as the trust would take the cash, not us. Franchise-wise, it would put us in a strong position, as if the RFL want to cut a local side, you would expect they would prefer the big city side to the small town team (not a dig, just a geographical reality), and everything else would be equal.



Psychologically, it would always be Wakeys ground, as it is in Wakefield and conceived by Wakefield, and for that reason, I can envisage a time when Cas fans, if given a vote, would choose NL1 at Wheldon Road over Super League at Stanley.

Get Cas & Fev to join in the ground share - 3 teams in Wakefield area - 3 teams = a trinity, it is in Wakefield so it can be called Wakefield Trnity Ground with no complaints

What has a withdrawn planning application for the former Hickson chemical plant got to do with sharing a stadium? You mention this type of wishful bunkum every week but you have converted no one to your cause.

With regards to naming rights, surely if YorkCourt properties are making up any shortfall in funding as rumoured on here then they will have a say.

Much like the McAlpine stadium naming rights.
