managed to avoid anything to do with rl yesterday (which wasn't that hard) until i could watch game. another good game.



if we played with half of the passion and intensity that they (either team) do then we will hammer cas on saturday.



thought ben hannant was very good and greg bird for nsw caused loads of problems. especially liked birds dialogue with ref - is it your first origin game? yes. you can tell.....

Gallen was an absolute machine - he's clearly some kind of athletic freak; to do that many minutes at that level of intensity is simply not normal.



Just what we could do with, and if he wants to bring Tony Williams with him, that would be a bonus!

apart from the VR ref decision at the end, which was terrible, it showed how the game should be reffed at the top level. Obvious stuff should be pulled but any doubt and let the game flow.



How are we supposed to get intensity at SL level when the ref blows up every set of six for some marginal technical offence, or someone puts their hand near someone's face?



Decent game all in all, but you can just tell which side is used to winning and which one isn't. Carney's inexperience at the very top showed, put someone like Fittler or Daley of old in the 6 shirt for NSW and they would have won that game by 12 imo.

He was properly niggling in the first tackle he'd get penalised to death in the red white and blue!

it's the intensity that does it for me, no easy tries got to work for every single point. Although maybe not for the last 6...

He doesn't come close to Greg Bird in the niggle stakes.

Bird plays like that every week - he's a nasty grub of a player, but makes yards, tackles hard and is very effective. The sort of player you love to hate, unless he's on your team, then you just love him.



He's a bit like Ryan Bailey, but good.
