In the express Kear said that he cant just throw him in in a pivotal position and that he needs a bit of time learn how we play or words to that effect anyway. Therefore it will be a couple of weeks depending on how he performs in the u20's and also whether or not we pick up injuries.

Yes and he played very well but there is a different intensity in a reserve game and playing for them today will have felt like a rest compared to playing Super League.

Also maybe Kear wanted to see him play at SH with a view to playing him there against Doncaster in the cup.

Can't remember what the situation was/rules are, but there is something in the bye laws about playing in early rounds that doesn't affect the later rounds.



Might be to cover amateur players who later gain pro contracts, but can't remember. Obviously wouldn't help us here.
