I am not sure Wakefield FC would be too happy if a team moved to Wakefield but if someone is willing to put money into our club then i would be overjoyed.

To be fair though thats exactly how Wakefield FC came about. They moved to the city from Emley.

Fair point but i seem to remember one of the reasons they moved to Wakefield was because there was no other football team already there.

I think they where gunning for the conference at the time and the Emley ground wasn't up to scratch. If they'd have gone up we would have had access to some grants from the FA to improve Belle Vue.



Alas they fell at the last hurdle, I went to a few matches and I think they got over 5 thousand in for one clash. After that the crowds died down to about 100.

knowing very little about the Wakefield F.C story, would this not be seen as a boost, presuming that the name of Wakefield F.C would remain? and that they would be both improved on and off the field + playing in a new stadium?

i would have thought it would be the supporters of A.N.Other F.C who would have something to moan about.
