The game reminded me very much of the Dewsbury v Hunslet game on Thursday. Crusaders, like Hunslet, just wanted to spoil the game and disrupt their opponents flow. Credit to Crusaders because it worked a treat. Salford, unlike Dewsbury, just fell apart and put in a woefull performance. Even star signing Sean Gleeson couldn't save them.

Last nights game makes a mockery of the whole franchise system IMO. A poor crowd, a poor match but these two are guaranteed franchises because one is apparently Welsh and the other are moving to a new stadium which they will be lucky to fill even a quarter of.

Agree 100%. If that was top level rugby league then the game is up. Crusaders niggling and constant offside going unpunished making it very scrappy. Salford were absolutely dire would have struggled to knock over a Championship side playing like that. Another point about so called Wales expansion team Crusaders only one Welsh player in the side OAP Gareth Thomas which in my opinion is laughable.

Have to see what crowd we can pull in, and smoke and mirrors will be needed to attract a big crowd. A team 'trying hard' isn't going to sell itself to the apathetic of Wakefield.
