| Quote JINJER="JINJER"And Rangi and Clarke aren't leaving are they?

As far as I know with Steve Gill he has said from the off that if Rangi wanted to leave the club would not stand in his way and would do their best to make it happen, as for Clarke yes Gill has said that he will not sell him while he is incharge as he was the one that brought him to the club and as far as i know he is still with us, unless you know something different to that.

Seriously I think most fans are just sick of the serial mis-management of the club year in year out, going from one financial crisis to another with the fans expected to bail the club out when those in the know like Elston have come out with mis-truths in the media yet remain at the club seemingly on the pay roll.
A city the size of Wakefield with a long tradition of rugby league (as well as the only professional sports club in the city) in the heartland of the game should have a strong and secure club but businessman come and go creating the roller coaster experience albeit more lows than highs.
'"
We're all sick of the serial mis-management but we are where we are unfortunately but now is not the time for witch hunts, scapegoats and hangings without trial.
What we need is to get out of the clag, learn from the mistakes that we keep on making and then make sure it doesn't happen again.
When all is sorted and all the facts known people can judge, but at least they will judge fairly.

| when ryan signed for wigan he was offered a massive ammount of money by wakefield to sign as was liam sutcliffe who went to leeds. jimmy came and met me in the mopsey and even if ryan didnt sign wanted me back in the coaching set up on a full time basis working with tony in devoloping players. he offered me a post and work in the community. he said he wanted people who cared about the club back at the club. he crapped on me and iv never trusted him since. hes left us in the mire and if he had any decency would leave the club now.

The biggest shame for me is that I agree with a lot of what he says......it's just he doesn't always seem to do it.
Not sure whether that is capability or interest or integrity
Those two players are obviously the type that we should be going for (within our budget) and from what I here Mopsey, you would be a good addition to the coaching set up.
The fact that he then didn't do it is the real shame, or at least kept some bridges in tact for another day.

| Quote Sandal Cat="Sandal Cat"I've tried to keep out of this and I know I probably should but until everything is in the open I think people should leave James alone as some of the criticisms levied against him and his family are just not true.
Some on here want to be Judge, Jury and Executioner without any evidence.
All I'm saying is please leave the Guy alone and when the issue the Club is facing has been resolved then think again.'"
There is no putting this problem to one side. The bad feeling towards Elston is at the point were his presence at the club will be a major factor in fans not buying a season ticket.
The guy went on radio and blatantly lied to us all. He made a complete fool of everybody connected to the club. The spin was clearly an attempt to boost ST sales before the end of August deadline. If had any integrity he would resign with immediate effect.

Or any serious investors (who may or may not be out there), I am pretty sure will not touch wakefield with a barge pole while ever they feel they are handing money over to the same guy who has twice taken the club to the brink of extinction.
Business is built on confidence in people and his credibility is shot!
If there is something else behind the story, then it needs to come out ASAP because otherwise it looks like the new broom ave failed to remove the problem.
Also if this scenario is not of elstons making , then the real culprit should go. Someone was and is responsible.

I would go with capability and integrity. Signing players on 3 year deals with no coach in place, that's crazy. Slagging players off in the hospitality area against Hemel.
You didn't see Bradford signing a load of their players on long deals, only probably Whitehead and Bateman. They have done it twelve months at a time and quite a few of them have only signed twelve month deals for next year.
Bradford will be back in the 8 in a couple of years, if not next year as they are looking to improve their squad by not over committing to the current players.
For me that's how you progress and don't get in the shumfing!

| People need to remember that if it wasn't for James the club would have folded two years ago but he fought on and found glover, the guy you all thought was our saviour! James is still their and facing the music. Glover is conveniently on a bike ride. Life is constantly a roller coaster ride for us fans but I can't see how anyone could have envisaged all these debts from the previous regime still coming to haunt us and the man who said he didn't need our money peddle off so quickly. Glover must have given James the permission and assurances to spend the money and now it's biting us. Chairman spending club money and leaving sounds familiar. At least carter appears abut more realistic. And to be fair what have we lost so far? Oh yes a wizard who couldn't cast a spell without Sykes reading him his spells! Hard times ahead but let's pull together and we can get through this. Keep fighting amongst ourselves and we look like Salford mid season when they have the oap players crocked and the thugs banned and cockroach realises noble is crap. Really in the mire

| If anyone does see him ask why he was not willing to listen to a local multi millionaire owner of a rather large car supermarket based on Denby Dale Rd when he approached offering investment and sponsorship in the club

| I've had enough. Tomorrow will be my last game as it stands now. Got a season ticket for next year but I can't be bothered. Ted: kept us going years but ultimately put family first towards end of tenure. Glover: promised so much started to deliver then ultimately failed big time not keeping an eye on things. Carter: sold smith which admittedly was a must. Said he'd try to raise funds before selling anymore player but now I hear aiton kirmo and amor have gone. Possibly Collis too. Seems to me like its another one who says one thing but then does the opposite. At least have the decency to tell us your true intentions daddy cool, if you want a fire sale to raise funds then fair dos but tell us that. I can't see Tuson coming now and I can't blame him. What next are we accepting a parachute payment to go down at the end of the season (which is what I've heard we've been offered) if so that really could spell the end for wtw. It's been emotional and today is a sad day but I have lost all faith and belief in this once great club. As for elston. Twice he's been in place as CEO and twice we've been on the brink of collapse. He may well have saved the club but he's also nearly bankrupted us twice so for me he has got go and go completely.
