It's not usual, and it is difficult, but there are things being done to secure the future of the club. The issue which interrupted the payments is resolved and normal trading has returned, but you are right - the 22nd October is absolute key to everything going forward and I hope that would put any personal issues to one side and join us by the Town Hall on that day to support the future of professional sport in Wakefield.
Is that enough Wildcats blah, blah for you?  |

In all fairness what could he do ? Tell The Sun it was all false ? Even though the rumours of it been all over the players facebook pages appeared on here at the beginning of the week. |

I don't really go for all the "we're doomed" posts so I would probably be tagged as a club supporter but not paying people who work for you is the worsed form of mismanagement. Nees to be sorted quick and something put in place to make sure it doesn't happen again.
The receptionist being layed off is not a good enough excuse.
So I still support the club, cos that is what suporters should do in my opinion...........but I don't support a management team who do this.

Looks like a genuine cock-up. Problem is things like this in troubled times can get players in the frame of mind that "why should I give 100% when I might not get paid for it."
Even if we get the ground we aren't endearing ourselves to the RFL.

The main issue here is, this question.
Which is the only club in Super League, Championship, Championship 1 & 2, National Conference, Saturday League, Sunday Pub Team League who recently has had to publish news on their website in response to stories about having to fight off both a tax man attack and a players not been paid story ?
The Answer.... Wakefield Trinity Wildcats
The club which is still dreaming of a SL franchise next year and dreaming of a new ground by 2095.
To put it simple... the stories dont exactly fill the average supporter with much confidence over the clubs immeduiate future... do they ?

He could do nothing with The Sun, I think I admitted that, but his experience and contacts can help get more positive stories in other outlets than perhaps others can.
Mud sticks, again. I guess no-one can sort it out. Even that Chloe girl gets better publicity than we do…
Obviously I need to be friends with players on Facebook to get gossip these days too! |
