Barrow want to keep him but it's down to wages I think. Around 29/30 maybe, would say he could do a job for someone like celtic or Salford but IMO that's about his level now

thanks ,always liked him as a player thought he would make a good back up player for us we need some back up in the halfs and i think our quota is full if we resign the tongan lad Moa , wonder if our club have considered him ,thanks anyway good luck next year

disagree in regards to his ability. I still rate Rooney highly and feel that he is SL standard. Had a difficult time with injuries for the last couple of seasons but i felt he played well enough on the few occassions he got a start. good player in my book - no good for Hull though - hes not austrailian and he doesnt spend his life in the pub so i guess he just wouldnt fit in.

I cannot believe Kath Hetherington is coming on here using a pseudonym to try to find some cheap players to sign.

I agree with Worksopwildcat. Think Rooney is well worth a Super League place, and quite a few teams will need his skills.



And to say he is only worth 'the level of Salford' is kind of disrespectful to them. They still have a few players we'd happily sign, even after Myler has gone.

Agree. I was suprised by his sudden departure as I think he has a lot to offer still.

didn't mean it to sound disrespectful at all just meant I think he could do a better job for a team at the lower end of the league with his experience etc, personally I don't think a top team would be making great moves to sign him as they'd be looking for a better quality of player
