| Getting back to Russell, Salford play Leeds tonight at Headingley. Tougher task but will very interested to see how he goes.
I also liked that Powell said he goes through the Salford game involvement with him.

| Agree.
There are some who post on here, and other streams that do know him better than the every day supporter.
He did do some good things, but not everything, and don't think was always with the clubs best interests at heart.
I had a very interesting conversation with various members of the Ellis family in the LED suite at the Catalans game.
From what I took of that, and my perception of him, we need to move on from the past and quickly. Our club is in the best hands now, than it has in a long time, and at the start, wasn't plain sailing due to issues of the past.

| Michael Carter was a thoroughly decent guy. Always had time for a chat and when I was helping out doing some volunteering at Belle Vue (knocking down the old dugouts that day) he brought cups of tea etc. Last saw him in the East Stand for the Catalans game (I think) and again had time for a chat at half time. It wasn't his fault there was no money but he did make the most of what we had. At one point we were the only club in Super League turning a profit. If he'd allowed us to spend a show a loss I bet the RFL would have been on us like a ton of bricks.

| Well they had a lot of bricks to use against us if you had just knocked down the old dugouts.
