Fil:Walmsley at 6, Trojan ????
I'd stick with Rourke at FB, Walmsley on the wing, Max at 6 and maybe Croft for Griffin ??
Yes I know, here?s my reason.
Max dismantled Cas at full back and creates a boat load of assists at full back. I like Roarke but how many try?s has he put on a plate or pressured edge defence? Very few. His main threat has been arial but that can easily be utilised on the wing.
Our best spine is without a doubt with Max at full back and is

Lino
Hood
Pitts
We can still put out 4/5 of that spine on Thursday if we choose to do so.
Or we can as expected put out 3/5 with Jowitt playing out of his best positions plugging a gap and Roarke who is a good full back but not at Jowitts level or likely able to expose Cas on the edges where we did pre season.
The reason I put Walmsley at 6 instead of Roarke is because when he played a string of games at full back last season he created many assists with cut out passes and passing ball to edges. For me he has decent hands that could link with Jowitt.
I purely think we would get far more from having Jowitt at 1 vs Cas than at 6.
I would prefer to see a 6 come in or one of our young halves but have them play in their dinner jacket and link up and take some kicking duties.
It?s just my opinion I would like the spine to be as close to the best 5 as possible. I don?t think that?s unreasonable.
I also tactically think the Cas edges are open to high ball exploitation and Rourke is very good at this. He can easily get way above Kershaw and Quareqare.
