Udal is one of the best T20 spinners in the country.

Seems a very odd time to pick a squad for a competition that doesnt start til June...they could have waited 2 weeks to see who starts the season in form couldnt they??



Good to see some of the new names in there - Denly mainly, Foster (about bl00dy time), Key, Bresnan, Kabir Ali (overdue return Id say)



On the other hand is Ian Bell really a better option than Strauss?? And picking Strauss would have done away with any kind of captaincy issue...

I'm guessing here, but I would have thought that the ICC has said all countries need to name a prelimenary squad, which will be cut down in due course. I know they've done that for previous tournaments.

That's correct. The squad will be cut down to 15.

That looks pretty weak compared to the likes of India and South Africa. If we are to get anywhere near the final we need to pick a specialist squad and not one off past reputations.
