You could have stuffed us.

when you consider we usually get stuffed, we showed pride and fight tonight. we had a try disallowed and lost on a bounce of the ball from a hight kick. a game of inches. im happy with our performance, once our halfs and hooker click, ( which is a new combo again i might add ) we;ll be ok, we;ll start taking our chances

Nice to see a bit of heart the night, back to the same mediocre pap on Monday me thinks

Agreed i am very proud of the team hopefully this will kick start our season .

I'm pleased we put up some fight but I wouldn't say I'm proud of the performance, even if the effort was there.



We should have torn them apart; our defence was awesome all night but their tries were complete gives; we had to build up so much pressure for ours but they just walked theirs over.



It was the quitest game I've seen from Roby, Graham, Pryce, Gidley, Gardner, Wilkin and yet we still couldn't get a win.



If we had beaten them in the recent past we'd have easy won tonight. Saints were poor and we should have put them away.

Your lot needs more than a Kick Start I reckon you need to go To Halfords For A Battery.

Better.. but it was probably our best chance for a win against saints in ages...did we take our chance no!.

I think a long hard season ahead

We played a very tired, error ridden Saints team, and still lost. We tried hard, but again lacked the ingenuity to convert possession and territory into points.



We aren't a NL1 side hoping for an upset in the cup, we're a team who've gotten to 2 semi's. How can we be happy with yet another failure to beat a very average Saints team (on the night)?

Well we played well and loads to work on thinks poeple need to look at the SL table and look at the teams were they are compaired to last year and finally think this is a harder league than last year instead of beatin up the team time after time we have signed a top class centre and still your unhappty ???????????



Its a long season to go and NO relagation

What's that got to do with anything?

You're not crediting our defence. It's been good for a few years, but this season it is outstanding. Your defence was very good too, but it's our goal line stuff. We are like a team possessed and it's only Gardner who can be our weak link this season, when he comes in and the opposition score tries (as you did).



Wigan weren't poor tonight. They played well. We were poor until about half way through the second half when for some reason we clicked and set about you. But we have probably the best defence in the league just now. That's what stopped you from tonking us tonight because it was your game for most of the match.

Good effort but a poor result in the end in a game we should have walked away with.



On the plus side though there were plenty of positives and when we've got kids like Ainscough and Tomkins coming through we won't go far wrong.



On the downside Fielden is done. He's had his slight ups and big downs whilst at Wigan but he's really hit rock bottom. I feel for the guy because he's really letting himslef and evryone down at the moment.

a good honest post. we had more line breaks, less missed tackles, but where it counted we were outdone. saints goal line defence was the difference tonight. a lucky bounce of a high kick won the game, but u make your own luck. we should have won, but creativity let us down. if saints had of had the same opportunities we did we would have lost by 20, thats the difference at the mo, hard work, good attitude, but lacking in creating the tries. we have a new half back partnership and a new hooker, we will gel, but the question is when ?
