I can only echo the sentiments on here. It is the natural order of things for us to hate Saints. It's like cats and dogs.

I also know wigan fans that have never seen wigan lift a trophy. sorry but true

I think it's more like Wigan v Saints, Warrington v Widnes. It's just that Warrington think they're too good to be coupled with an NL team, and yet they got turned over by both us and Saints

. They're a good little club though and I wish them well.

I've been watching RL for over 50 years and I'm not taking the michael but i cannot remember Wire ever winning the league. I'm prepared to be proved wrong by any passing Wire fans but I seriously don't recall it happening.

I like the Warrington/Wigan/Saints rivalry.. It certainly makes game day more exciting. The DW can be a quiet place when the likes of Catalan, Quins and Crusaders are in town so its great that we have such intense battles with our local rivals. I work and have mates who are wire fans and we always have a bit of banter. I do get the feeling however that there is a semi mutual respect rivalry between wigan and saints fans, were wire just have a hate formed from decades of winning nowt. (Understandable really ;O) )

I've never seen an ounce of trouble with Saints fans. We've always mixed well with good banter and their is a mutual respect for the past histories of both clubs. At the very least most derby games over that period have been very competitive with some great memories and not so great memories.



That isn't really the case with Warrington, it's been 95% domination by both Wigan and St Helens against them and thats why they've been like vultures since they won their cup final on 8th August last year. They were all out like vultures again at Saints last week. Proud to say we take a huge following there even when it looks like we have no chance of winning!
