I believe it involved alcohol, but every club has a few idiots. Let's hope the stewards are on the ball, because even if it's one person ejected for something like smoking, the union lot (and maybe the press) will have a field day.

I can't really see there being any problems. With regards to the game, I was speaking to one of the people who runs the coaches through Saints and she said she had 14 people signed up for it and was struggling to get any more.

I will be coming down next weeked. Not sure if I'm stupid or die hard having been to every away game except Catalan this year. Certainly begrudge £25 but my love of Saints will not allow me to stay away. I'm certainly not coming down for a fight and I'm fairly certain my 61 year old mother will be able to behave herself. My only intention is to watch a rugby watch, not two which is what I am paying for in order to see mine but that's another tale.



Can't say that I've ever seen any problems of fighting Saints fans at matches hope the Union fans aren't looking to cause problems.



I have had a look at the Quins RU forum and read posts from many union fans not wanting to sit with us, our whippets and flat caps but I just took that as ignorance.

Meaning what? I am not stirring it if that's what you mean, I was simply pointing out that disgruntled fans + alcohol isn't the preferred mix. Add to this the conception that Union fans have (see above ref to CAWI) of league fans and I pointed out that it was possible that not everyone would be happy. There was trouble a few years back and the Union fans at the time were up in arms.......do the club need any bad publicity heaped on top of what is already turning into a disasterous season?

As thread drifts go, that's up there with the best of them. 12,000 miles away and it still hurts when the team I support continue to cock-up on every front and I am of the belief that this double header has the potential to be a massive fiasco.
