Anyone on here who was at this meeting with HTSA ???? if so what was said and why was it kept so quiet???? The DATM fan site which goes hand in hand with HTSA orchestrated the latest witch hunt against Ken and are very vociferous in their condemnation of Ken the team and it's followers.

I do hope we're not thinking climbing into bed with this backstabbing brigade after their condemnation of everything rugby!



Oh and by the way i support both clubs, but i don't and won't support people with personnel vendettas, and the witch hunts which are going on at the moment by mindless idiot football fans.

CONGRATULATIONS to the Giants on a winning start to their new season!



Yes, this is the column for the Huddersfield Town Supporters’ Association – we’re trying to signal a sense of co-operation with our fellow supporters.



Indeed, there are fans who follow both Town and the Giants with equal passion.



There’s even a close similarity between the names of the two independent supporter groups, so our counterparts are simply Huddersfield Giants Supporters’ Association, and representatives of the HTSA and the HGSA met recently to exchange views about common issues surrounding the use of the shared stadium.



It was also an opportunity for HTSA to stress that the campaign for the return of the stadium shares to their rightful place is NOT a campaign against the Giants or their fans.



In the future that may even become a shared objective as well, but for the present the only message is that HTSA hopes to foster a closer relationship between the two sets of supporters and we’re looking at ways to do that with joint social events.



The campaign continues and that’s a commitment that will not stop until the shares are back where they belong

I note that htsa have now tried including Huddersfield Giants supporters in sharing their concern over the share issue.

When you look back historically at the myopic, ill-informed bile that has been directed at Ken Davy and how he has been treated by some HTFC fans and some of the stuff they've come out with it would be no surprise to me if he plain refused to enter into any kind of dialogue with them.



Well the HTSA don't represent me. They haven't asked for my views and trying to group me in with their 'concern' or with them in any form whatsoever is a rather large assumption on their part. But hey, making large assumptions based on very little indeed is nothing new to these people.



And for the record, I also support HTFC.

When they started their hate campaign against Ken Davy, they forfeited any sympathetic consideration from me.

The meeting between the committee of the Supporters Association and Town's SA committee was fixed up long before the share issue became a concern and was at our request.



It was a meeting to see how both sets of supporters could be both rivals and friends.



It was a meeting between Huddersfield people to see how we could work together to promote rugby, football, sport, and friendship.



It was a meeting designed to foster good relations.



Right at the very end the Town side brought up the share issue. This was after Ken had proposed to put 'his' 60% into a trust. The town people said that this seemed a good proposal. Ken's offer, HTSA in agreement - who's climbing in bed with whom? AT NO TIME WAS THERE ANY SUGGESTION, LET ALONE COMMITMENT, FOR ANY GIANT'S FAN TO BECOME INVOLVED OR EMBROILED WITH HTSA'S VINDICTIVE CAMPAIGN AGAINST KEN.



HGSA committee met with the Giants' Directors yesterday evening and were congratulated on showing initiative for trying to bring two sets of supporters together for the sake of sport and the town. Ken thought that it had been a brilliant move.



If anyone would like to chat with me about any of this I shall be in Turnbridge on Sunday from noon until 1 and then with the HGSA promotion team outside the ground.

Which Giants fans? What gives them the right to put that statement forward? Based on what evidence?



It's dirty tricks like this which are getting my back up. HTSA does not represent the views of the wider community as far as I am aware, they just serve their own petty hate-fuelled agenda. Spin City.

They're trying to get whoever they can to to support their campaign yet I know it's a tiny minority of Town fans they actually represent as the rest aren't bothered nor like the actions of those behind this campaign. They're desperate, they won't tell of the fact many of their tshirts were frowned upon and those handing them out found it hard to do so only in two places were there actual demand for them and even then it was kids who would wear anything if it meant it was cool for that moment! I mean to see many lime green queueing for food when they're supposed to be boycotting the food outlets was comical!!



Also when have they ever published the truth?? their history is blotted with ill informed "facts"! When I read that in the paper I just thought more rubbish from them! They're becoming like the boy who cried wolf the more they tell the less people will believe!!



Ken Davy will quite rightly ignore them and they will continue to dig their own hole!!!

Sounds like a cosy meeting, did they bring along the Hitler/Davy video clip to show you or distribute any other of the garbage and drivel the HTSA promote/support through the DATM web site. What next ? are we going to have that "man with the personnel vendetta" Mids doing the half time draw or better still hows about "an evening with" . I'm astounded that at this moment in time any Fartown group has opened any sort of dialogue with a group that is openly carrying out a witch hunt and a nasty, venomous smear campaign against Ken, Fartown supporters and rugby in general on a website where anything anti Ken/rugby is encouraged and anybody remotely seen to have their own opinions/views is ridiculed.

What I think of HTSA, DATM and the leaders of this malicious campaign against Ken can't be put on this forum {unlike DATM} so whilst this campaign is ongoing can I suggest you don't conduct any more coffee evenings with these people.

I personally hope Ken sues the lot of them for every penny they've got

Have to say Ivor i feel uncomfortable about meetings with the HTSA.

They seem happy to be using a two pronged approach with the cosy moderate we are all in this together campaign and the vicious anti Davy brigade. ( ballot box and Armalite comes to mind)

suggests that they are manipulating your good intentions for their own political ends.



Talk to them by all means but do not let them use you as a stick or a trojan horse to support their campaign.



It would be better to say you will only talk to them if they suspend their public campaigns against Ken.



I have to say that people feel very strongly about this and it runs the risk of undermining attempts to build the HGSA.

The fact they've put Ken's email address on the site and encouraged people to 'politely ask him to answer their queries' or however they've worded it makes me 100% more determined to keep my beloved rugby club and the people involved in my club as far away from these people as possible....sorry if that offends any town fans, although i do know the ones i speak to - on here and personally are disgusted and ashamed of this campaign of hate and their determination to hunt down and and burn our great chairman .

I for one will NEVER EVER be associated with this .

All a bit too hush hush for me Dave Calverley and HGSA have always been quick to use this forum and its OWN WEBSITE to promote events and meetings so why the silence on this subject ? If we want to find out what went on we have to trail down to Turnbridge WMC and ask him personally before he goes off to promote HGSA around the stadium. At the moment only a small % of supporters attending tomorrows game will know this meeting took place which is probably a good thing otherwise my advice would be to stay in the warmth of Turnbridge WMC and not to waste their time and effort on the back of bad PR. We know that HTSA have their own agenda and don't represent the views of town fans and it looks like HGSA are following suite

The meeting was by a sub-committee of our committee and has not reported back to the full committee yet.

As far as using this forum [& the other two to promote our events, well, we are a supporters organisation and what better way to promote a supporters organisation than to publicise events where supporters congregate, ie this forum.

Let me unreservedly apologise to one and all if our well-intentioned get-together has offended. As I have previously stated that was not the case. It was designed as a bridge building exercise. People who know me know my views about Ken and what he has done for the club. And if anyone thinks that I have gone out to purposely harm the club then I'm lost for words.
