A "proper" game of rugby not like the usual basketball scorelines

A good down to earth Rugby League game marred by totally inept refereeing. Phil has obviously been brainwashed by Red Hall into believing the football art of play acting. I'm a proud leyther embarrased by how easily Leeds manipulated the official to a victory.

O'Loughlin constantly penalised for his persistent niggling he usually gets away with!

Saw the first half on telly and then listened to the rest of it on a combination of Radio Manc & Radio Leeds and found it thoroughly absorbing.

W1gan where gutted - who can blame them too because Leeds never looked like scoring until the last minute which to be fair was an excellent TRY. O'Loughlin thumping the ground after Smith got the ball down - classic.



I am not a fan of Bentham or Albert (:winkicon_smile.gif but thought both had good games for todays and Thursdays to be fair.

I watched it too and thought the Pies were the best side but one missed tackle cost them and I know how I would have felt had it happened to the team I support.



The ref. Well I could not fault one of his decisions and it was the same when I watched Batley V Cats.

Sorry but after some of the things said of referees for our games on this forum I can't understand how you can say that display today was ok.

Leeds are very adept at conning the refs into decisions and manipulating situations. They have been getting away with it for a few years nowe and the sooner the ref committee take a zero tolerance policy on all foul play the better. The Aussies are now 5 years ahead of us again because they know they have genuine discipline., UNLIKE OUR TOP SIDES.

Bentham was good today, he got most things correct and kept a dialogue going with the players.

Do you know what I agree, most of his decisions were correct.
