That was a great tackle on Hilly, ball and all.

Lets clear this up. The main issue was him picking the ball up and then throwing it a way. The ball had rolled dead, he did not have it in his possession when it went dead, so he had no need to pick the ball up at all and to compound this he then attempted to throw it away. So say what you will but if he had not picked the ball up after it being deemed dead, him throwing it or dropping it would have been immaterial.

I'm going to have to say Maden was an idiot for what he did. It's that lack of proffessionalism that lets this team down more than the lack of pace.

At least when teams beat us with pace they a. have to have pace themselves and b. have to actually do something to beat us. The way we are unproffessional just hands the game to the opposition without them having to do anything at all.



If I was going to coach a team against Leigh, i'd tell my team to just drive in and take tackles, no offloads, wait for Leigh to start giving penalties away and then go out wide.

that Maden incident was a joke though, on at least two occassions did a Fax player slam the ball to the ground after a bad call or error, similar 'indiscipline' to Maden. If thats what having 9 year old linesmen does for the game then we're better of getting a Dad from each team to run the line.



Anyrode, I think Featherstone are without doubt the best side in this league so far.



I've seen them as much as Barrow and Fax, and you dont get to where Fev are by being lucky every week.



They do the simple things right, have a big mobile pack, and with the likes of Briggs and Flynn have creative players who have have been head and shoulders about the 'superstars' of this league.



They fully deserve to be where they are.

If that is the rule , then at virtually every goal line drop out a player will be sin binned , quite often at least 2 players will pick up the ball and then drop it before the actual ' kicker ' picks it up

It only 'counts' if its an opposing teams player

No it doesn't/shouldn't if a defending player deliberately throws the ball away to delay his team from restarting he can also be sinbinned as happened to a Celtic player at Fax 4/5 years ago

The Maden incident was an absolute pants of a decision he throw the ball all of what, a metre and in fact it landed practically at the feet of a Fev player,and i would have said the same if it had been a Fev player sent off PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ,and as for Maden being stupid no,he only did what you see constantly week in week out,having said that i thought we played very well with 12 men ,some of the best rugby of the game
