I have to say tha the RFL should look at the lights at Barrow because the miners car park is better lit. I have never been to such a poorly lit pitch in my life.

We certainly did have a good side in the 2001 season.
Difference in my view is the fitness levels' the team spirit. the tackling (forget first 10 minutes yesterday and really it wasn't the tackling but Rooney's excellent kicking) and the structure of our play.
Ok disagree and take out 2001 season but name one other season that remotely comes close to this one since 1981/2. |

Saw the league table and was gobsmacked to see that.
I really hope the RFL leave the Championship structure alone and fiddle with all the other leagues that frequently throw up mismatches.
This league is probably the most difficult one to call, and as if to underline that statement - how many had Hunslet down for a away win today  |

Be fair, there is no team in this league that can be pointed out as whipping boys this year, they've all got potential to win games as far as I can see, Hunslet today have proved that.
I can't see us repeating 2001 somehow, that was a freak season against lesser opposition. That said, it'll be a good side that stops us winning the title.

Our first try was genius! Three great drives forward, 2 from Thornley and 1 from McGilvaray and than great hands from Taylor, Duffy and Ellis and Thornley there again. Sheer quality.

The 2005 team would beat the current team.
And we've only played 2 league games - we started off last season like a house on fire as well. |
