Apparently a similar situation to Sean Long when at Saints, but involving Cunningham, Long and Nutritionist Mike Sutherland and the hormone HCG. You'd think after having a "Close Shave" then he would be steering well clear now!!

Honestly, i'd find it very heard to believe anything Gleeson says. The guys lurched from one disaster to another. He may be telling the truth, but everyone has heard the story of the boy who cried wolf.
It just seems to me he wants to blame everyone else. He's a 31 year old man, he needs to start taking responsibility.

If the RFL are guilty I will hold my hands up. But all we have so far is one man's word, a player who is finsihed in the game, despite having numerous chance after going from one disaster to another, given chance afte chance. So far it's only his story in a newspaper which he will probably have been paid a fee. If he is telling the truth i will hold my hands up. But if the RFL were/are guilty, don't you think the anti doping agency would have done something by now? Just my opinion though |

Well the RFL need quickly to offer a defence as to their actions regarding this issue two high profile RFL officials have been implicated.
What puzzles me if there is no smoke without fire is why Gleesons ban was reduced given all the skullduggary surrounding this whole sorry issue.
Other players have admitted their guilt took the their punishment and served their bans, perhars current players serving bans should ask the RFL details surrounding the reduced ban and ask the question does lying get you a reduced ban.
The whole issue stinks and our governing body seriously need to come clean and tell the truth.

There must be some element of truth in what he says because unless he had some sort of proof to back up his story, the RFL and Emma Rosewarne etc could sue him for libel/slander (both seeing as he's wrote about this and spoke about it).

About the UKADA. I don't think they come out of all this smelling of roses as the RFL asked them to lift or postpone a ban on Gleeson because they were told that the entire Hull team could test positive. There are some pretty fishy goings on in this affair and I bet there are some squeeky bums in both camps. Don't be suprised if this gets brought up in the House Of Commons. The UKADA being asked to turn a blind eye by a major sports governing body. Scandalous.
