Thats a fair call then but let it be policed to the letter of the law in every game. Otherwise it makes it a mockery or some refs offer some degree of leniency ( it was n`t like SM was wasting time because we were n`t gaining a BP at time of the SB.... So surely SM delaying the restart had a detrimental affect on us and not Fev........ Pity these linesmen don't see important issues in a game like high shots, knees in back, forward passes. I was more furious about this incident than us losing. The game is becoming a joke. What should he have done ? legged it to the 25 line and handed the ball to a Fev player? I wish i could use swear words on here

Did it merit a SB...... I think not ... It was n`t an act which had a detrimental advantage to Fev, IMO a slowing down of the play was more in your favour. So to the pedantic flag waver be prepared to police the said occurence with the same amount of vigour.

And the advertising boards are how far away from where he threw it? A metre? 39 whole inches? I would not even call it a throw, more like a drop backwards. Not a yellow card offence whatever you say!

So if he had thrown it in the direction of the spot where the tap was to be made and it rolled away maybe 10 metres would he have been sin binned?

What should he do? throw it on the ground in front of him? at the side of him? behind him (sorry, he did that) throw it a metre or so into an empty area but in the direction of the tap but still further away from a Fev player than what he actually did.?



Whatever you say it was a very poor decision - I will watch closely next time and look where a player throws the ball after a knock on, forward pass or any other error. The linesman was a 4n08 'ed - end of!

Fev played with an NRL mentality of controlling the ball, using territory and accurate passing. We did none of that, saying that it was the best we have played in weeks and Duffy looked dangerous. Robbie still needs a rest.
