If Beswick is coming back into the team any time soon it does seem a bit odd to go out and sign a 4th hooker in Liam Hood. I would like Bob to stay as he has been very good for us but I wouldn't be entirely surprised to see him go across the border to the pies.

If bob goes to Wigan I'm sure all leigh fans would wish him all the best because u can't blame the lad if the chance as come up to play for ur home town in superleague,quality player who would do a great job for Wigan especially with micky mac being out for the season

Well Charnock and Owen will be off again in 3 weeks and Whiting in about 6 weeks unless we extend their loan deals.
Hopefully by then we should have Smith, Kay, Armstrong, Worthington, Tonga and Dixon back. Maybe Beswick and Chase back too. Also we gave 4 weeks notice on Reynolds a while back so he could be back in a couple of weeks too.
Potentially 9 quality players to come back into contention over the next month. McNally and Barlow out longer term. I doubt Brierley will ever play for Leigh again. |

Not that odd really when of our 3 hookers Bob is out injured & will probably take a bit to get back up to match fitness even after he recovers from his injury, Micky is playing with an injury & needs to be rested to recover from it sometime very soon & Foster is a young lad not quite ready to step into the 1st team. All about having competition for places & as we've seen cover for injuries. |
