No Blackpool for us Charlie! The place is a dump, a real ale desert and the system is wrong. Another RL stitch up. I'll stay at home and wash me hair!

I`ll agree about Tackypool the place is an absolute Dump.

Barty, Blackpool and it's surrounding areas has some very nice places,every Beautiful City in the world has its unpleasant spots.I agree about Blackpool in the Town Centre and would never go there,I love Ribby Hall very relaxing there for Fishing and Horse Riding, try a round of Golf if you play at the De Vere Village on Park Drive,a meal at the G - Casino very good a reasonably priced .In a couple of weeks Leigh play London which has its dumps ,but you find some very nice places to go and stay ,it's just a matter of finding them.

Aye, of sorts Frank. My main reason for not attending though is the format of the weekend. By choosing a full time team as opponents for Fax, the RFL have possibly cost us two points and maybe a top four spot and everything which could come from that, and that is wrong. If teams had gone into an open draw and we had been paired with a full time club, so be it. But to do it this way stinks when you think of all the consequences it could have.

I'd never been a fan of the magic weekend concept for this reason, could end up costing you if you get a harder team, but sort of came round to the idea last year of a big weekend festival of rugby type event. Heard someone come up with an idea which was that instead of giving half the teams an extra home game in the Super 8s that game should be at the magic weekend, trouble is it would have to be over all 3 days of a bank holiday weekend to fit all 12 games in & not sure how willing Sky would be to show every game when they'd vary in level so much. Still going to Blackpool for the full weekend mind.
