Both teams were at it to be fair, Fax had to slow the game down to try and bring Leigh down to their pace and Leigh were bad for 3rd man in and a lot of cheap shots. We were laying on yes but the 3rd man in also does a great job of slowing the game down and is another area the RFL should look at because its a very clever tactic which does not get picked up on a lot.

For the first time, I have to say that even Paul Rowley talked some rubbish in his post match interview. OK, maybe he was still high on emotion after such a game, but even if Halifax claim to be a "footballing" side, but then change to a more "boring" style, so be it. It nearly worked. It's called tactics.

Watching the game back I didn't realise how strong Hopkins was in defence yesterday. Massive effort by him.



Any fax fans complaining about us slowing the play the ball down need to watch it back. They could've been penalised a couple of times every set. Moore put high shots on loads and bracek was his usual tosspot self.

Don't see what anyone could object to in Rowley's interview either. Glad that they do listen to coaches' comments on referees. Just watched the game back, the Fax players who held Acton back while others hit him shouldn't play again this season; we don't really want to see fighting but it happens in RL but that was disgraceful.

Ste Tyrer deserves endless smacks for his part in the brawl too. Complete coward

Watched the game back now and Leigh thoroughly deserved the win overall.



Rugby-wise, Fax defended well, especially first half - and their tactics were clever, making Leigh attack from very deep most of the time.



Rugby-wise from Leigh; kept at it and showed a dogged determination to win. Couldn't play their usual game but found a way to win even so.



Regarding all the other "stuff", when the match was slipping away from Fax, they resorted to the niggly play. Leigh responded and the rest is history. The brawl was ridiculous but it was inevitable.



I can understand Rowley's frustrations too, especially with the refs, but that isn't going to change anytime soon so you just have to get on with it.

Iggy I've been saying this for a couple of years now about Tyrer,I'm glad someone else can see what he is like,I was getting worried it was just me

.The guy is a chief wind up merchant and S**t stirrer, as for Bracek another guy who just loves to cause aggro , but I'm told both him and Jamie Acton have issues off field anyway.
