Heard Shaun McRae on GMR tonight saying he thought Leigh would attract a lot of applicants.
He thought it would be a good job for a SL assistant coach making the next step up the coaching ladder.

Karl Harrison is the wrong man for us. John Pendleburys name has been mentioned. Excellent rugby brain and work ethic not sure how long he has been away from the game to take us forward. I have a funny feeling that our arch nemesis from swinton may throw his cap in for the job and we could do worse. I would also like to thank Ian Milward for all his hard work and the way the team has grown but I hope he flops at Cas. I also hope that they give us a friendly around christmas and we do them.

Reading your potential circumstances yet also having already ticked a box John Stankevitch would be a great choice. Be good value and would relish a shot at a big club like Leigh. Very good at working under a tight budget and getting players to play for him. Whilst his record as a coach with juniors and then young players at Rochdale is fantastic.
With SL box already ticked he could easily bring on your young lads if the pot is short for players! And then (as with Widnes) you'd still be in a good position for a licence bid.

what you say J20 is correct however at Leigh the coach needs to be a person who the fans take to quickly i dunno if Stanky would be that poular meening he was up against it straight away i personally think an unknown Aussie who brings no baggage and starts from scratch and is wot we need or a popular ex player
