TB was a nice bloke but it's no good living in the past. Would be a ridiculous appointment as far as I'm concerned.

Seriously though - as much as I like TB - his coaching record since leaving us has hardly showered him in glory!!



I'm hoping Basil has a surprise 'leaving present' for us (ala Turk) - but failing that, I'd see Purtill as an excellent fit for the club.

We must not give anyone a contract until it is known who will be running the club. The decision cannot be made by current Directors who are resigning at the end of the season - we could get lumbered with someone that a 'new owner' doesn't agree with.



Let's not forget that whoever becomes coach is responsible for maintaining & improving crowds by way of the type of rugby played - would hate to loose the 1000 we have got back this season.

Poor coach / players = less crowds = less income = poorer players = lesser crowds = poorer players etc etc. until we reach the Oldham / Rochdale level.

I doubt Keiron would take hes on a good wage at Sints and enjoys it , he lives in Leigh does he really need the grief some of the expert fans would undoubtabley give him? i would have him in a shot but we'll see.

Did well but was with an expensively assembled squad if memory serves me right.

The lad got Hobbo playing out of his skin (and into the CH1 team of the year if memory serves!)......so his motivational skills aren't in doubt!!!

Spoke to Martin a couple of months back , he was considering an offer from an amatuer club at the time , not sure which one

would also like to thank IM for the work he has done but also say a sorry to all those i had a bet with when he landed who said he wouldnt see his contract out and be gone when something better comes along seems they were right
